Susan H. Senft, MD, FRCO, FAAO, acquired her doctor degree of medicine and graduated as a member of the King Kane Honor Society in 1979 at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, DC. Her postgraduate training includes her surgical internship in San Francisco, ophthalmology residency at Baylor College of Medicine/Department of Ophthalmology in Houston, Texas, post-graduate studies at Stanford University, and a one year fellowship in the fields of pediatric ophthalmology, anterior segment (cataract, glaucoma, corneal transplant), and oculoplastics at the prestigious King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia under the direction of Dr. David Paton. Prior to medical school, Dr. Senft graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Dubuque. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, and professional member of the Pan American Association of Ophthalmology, the Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the Hawaii Ophthalmological Society. Dr. Senft is board certified in ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology since 1986.
